le 5 février

Bonjour,

Food Allergies or sensitivities to hot chocolate and croissants?
On Wednesday, February 12th, students will be provided with hot chocolate and croissants as part of our celebration of French Canadian food and culture.  If you do not want your child to eat this snack, please send me an email to let me know prior to Tuesday, February 11th and send a special snack for your child on February 12th.  (Thank you VASPFS for funding this treat for the school!)

Literacy Night
Reminder that tomorrow night there is a literacy night for parents and guardians hosted by Jennifer McCann.  If you are interested in attending and have not already signed up, here is the link!  https://forms.gle/585rrbPeSx5Krtf2A. I hope to see you there!

Tomorrow is Healthy Hunger school lunch.

Students have been signing up for our next choice and curiosity day which is this Friday. Our choice and Curiosity days give students an opportunity to meet other students and teachers in the school.  We will focus on the skills of winning and loosing graciously.  Students are welcome to bring a board game to play during this time.  Please keep in mind we will only have 30 minutes to play!

Today in salle 6:
-We had daily 5.
-We have been talking about our virtue of the month which is empathy.
-We started writing stories about snowmen.
-We had music.
-We did a math talk with 2 digit addition and then we worked on our pattern cities.
-We wrote about festivals and celebrations in Iqaluit.
-We looked at our science project, the jar without the lid has definitely lost some water, but only a very little bit!  We talked about different ways we can dry fabric when it gets wet.
-We had gym with M. Trevor.

Merci,

Mme Lauren
